I was also thinking figs and honey, but figs weren't there, so I went for cherries - eh, what can you do!? Sounds lovely this combo though Lyn! Mmmm, creme brulee...

Your dessert sounds amazing. I found fresh figs in Calgary just last year and I was sooo excited. I didn't make anything with them though, I just ate them by themselves. Now I think I might try this for dessert tomorrow. Thanks!

I happened upon this recipe by chance. I made it the other day. Oh. My. God. It's so rich and creamy and delicious.

The only problem I ran into was using a blender. Even after letting it reas it was still a bit foamy so the tops got a little browner than i had hoped in the oven. That's an easy fix.

Would you mind if I repost the reipe on my site and link it back to you?



I have a fig tree and i THOUGHT i had no use for it, always asking what they are used for and others simply say "jam" and im not the "Jam" type....so with your wonderful help i now have use for my poor figs....thanks!!

I am looking for a recipe for the exact honey soaked mascarpone figs you too have mentioned. I get my fix at the Vic market everytime I make the 4 hour round trip down to melb! They are divine and I have been scouring google for that recipe when I came across your blog. I have a dozen fat ripe figs sitting on my bench right now and I want to try to make the above mentioned. Like your blog I will be back. Kathy
